This dog is being hailed hero after everyone was evacuated out of an apartment building mostly unharmed.

The fire badly damaged the building during the night, but thanks to this dog, everyone made it out safely out of the potentially deadly fire. The Seattle fire department were dispatched to the Green Acres apartment complex around 1 AM on a Friday morning.

The first responders found a huge fire in the exterior of the building. Due to the fire, at least six apartment units were badly damaged.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, the fire had started on the first floor and spread to the siding on the second and third floors of the building.

One family is hailing their pet dog, named Kona, as a hero after she alerted the family to the fire, potentially saving their lives.

The dog kept waking up everyone and tried to get them out of bed. She kept on barking and walking on top of everyone in the family to warn them of the fire. Eventually, everyone woke up and made it outside before the fire could reach them, thanks to the warning Kona gave to the family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and it is not clear how many people are displaced due to the fire, but the Red Cross will be providing assistance.

Although the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, I am just glad that everyone made it out of the fire relatively unharmed, which was all thanks to the warnings Kona gave! Heroes truly do come in many shapes and forms! Watch a video about this below.
