Rebel, who recently joined the Fayetteville Police Department, is a certified therapy dog who help officers deal with stress on the job.

She has been proven to be a huge hit with employees already, within a couple of days! Everyone smiles when Rebel walks in the room, and she has a charm you just can’t resist.

A person who is wrecked with stress and anger are usually calmed down by a dog, and the Interim Chief thought it would be a good idea. Therapy dogs are not service dogs, however, they provide a necessary service in helping the police dogs relieve their stress! Policing the community can be a hard job, as anyone can imagine, and Rebel can also help officers deal with trauma.

Thank you to Rebel for all the hard work, and hopefully more police departments across the country can adopt the same practice as well!
